Improving waste management ecosystem is also about improving the connection among the stakeholders. What we mean by stakeholder is every actor who relevant in this issue, can be government, waste banks, NGOs, recycling factory, waste related ventures, etc. OPPA realize that facilitating the network can affect the system because we believe that every stakeholder need each other to address the issue more effectively. Every stakeholder needs to know who are the actors involved in plastic waste management, what are their programs and progress, what they can do to support other stakeholders and what support or knowledge they need.
The objectives of Lunch & Networking is to strengthen the connection within plastic waste ecosystem in Surabaya, improving the knowledge by facilitating sharing session among stakeholders or capacity building by the experts, and initiate the collaboration among the stakeholders. In short, this event is dedicated to stakeholders so they can meet, chat, and share with each other.
Our first Lunch & Networking was held on 10 October 2019 in Botanika Restaurant and was attended by eighteen people who are the relevant stakeholders for waste management in greater Surabaya. The event went well, the invitee introduced themselves and shared their program or progress. Some of them were connected for the first time in this event.
